3-POINT MICROMETER

A 3-point micrometer, also known as a three-point bore micrometer or three-point internal micrometer, is a specialized measuring instrument used to accurately measure the inside diameter of holes or bores. Unlike traditional two-point micrometers which use anvils that contact opposite sides of the hole, a 3-point micrometer uses three contact points spaced 120 degrees apart around the circumference of the measuring head. This design helps to minimize errors caused by variations in roundness or alignment of the hole, providing precise measurements of internal diameters.
